How does check in work?

Our kids rooms are open 15 minutes prior to the service. Nursery and Tots are located on the south wing and Preschool and Elementary are located on the north.

Please check in your child prior to the service. You will be given a pager for your child in case we need to get a hold of you.

Elementary kids join the adults for worship some Sundays. Keep an eye out for a sign outside of the Elementary room.

CHRISTMAS IN A WEEKEND

Christmas in a Weekend is back from Dec 9-11 with "Star Wars" Our Faith Awakens".

Christmas in a Weekend is our way of helping families make the holiday season less hectic. Instead of weeks of rehearsals for our kids Christmas program, we do it all in one weekend- beginning to end! Kids come Friday Dec 9 evening, all day Saturday, and Sunday afternoon to learn, rehearse, and finally perform our Christmas program at 6:30 that Sunday evening. Parts have been simplified so there is little, if any memorization needed. There are many different types of parts for kids of all ages and abilities to participate in.

We recognize that this is a very busy season and your kids may have other events happening throughout the weekend. Please connect with us and see how we can help accommodate those events so that your kids can still be involved. Though it is a very intense weekend, our kids often tell us it is one of the best weekends of the year so we don't want anyone to miss it.

Christmas in a Weekend is for Hillcrest Kids in grades 1-6. Please register your children for the weekend so we know how many will be involved in the program. Forms are available at the HK Elementary sign in desk and the main office. The cost for the weekend is 10$ per child and covers the food, costumes, sets and props used for the play.

Many adult hands and eyes are needed in a variety of roles for this weekend. Would you be willing to help out?

If you want to register your kids, or are willing to help or have any questions please contact Pastor Laura at kids@hillcrestmj.com.

Serve in Hillcrest Kids

There are numerous ways for you to get involved with our little ones. Contact Pastor Laura Stacheruk here if you're interested in any of the following:

Sunday School:

This is our biggest area of need. Each Sunday morning we need enough volunteers to staff the nursery, tots room, preschool room and elementary room. We need teachers, crafts people, and supervisors. We do ask that if you sign up to help out in the kids room that you take a Plan to Protect class provided by the church.

Special Buddies:

We have a couple of kids with special needs that require a little more one on one time than your average Sunday School class. We are looking for some special buddies to spend time with these kids on Sunday mornings.

Odd Jobs:

There are numerous random jobs that need to get done around the kids rooms in order to keep them running. These jobs are always changing and we're always looking for people to help out. This could include things like, cleaning toys, making playdough, sharpening pencils, etc.
