CONNECT SMALL

HILLCREST DISCIPLE-MAKING GROUPS

CELEBRATE SMALL

The early church gathered in big groups in the temple courts, but they were also meeting in smaller settings regularly.  They were doing life together: eating, sharing, helping, and having close spiritual friendships with one another.  We want you to be a part of a 'Hillcrest Discipleship Group' - a place where someone notices your spiritual growth and cares about you. When we CONNECT SMALL, it is all about authentic relationship - trusting others as we learn how to live out our faith. We all need support as we learn to submit our lives to God's truth.

Acts 2:46b

"They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts."

WHAT IS YOUR NEXT STEP?

Join a 'Hillcrest Discipleship Group'

Disciple-making groups are where someone cares about and supports your spiritual growth.

Time to step up to host or lead a group

Stretch your spiritual muscle, step out of your comfort zone and host or lead a group!

Be more intentional about Spiritual Growth

Be more intentional about sharing, supporting others, or asking for support myself. Take someone out for coffee, text a friend about what you have been learning, or find an accounability buddy.

Become a Mentor

Offer myself as a mentor for those younger or newer to the faith than me.v  Start an Alpha group, or a bible study or set a date for coffee with a friend and chat about life and faith.

LEAD A GROUP

Hillcrest Groups are disciple-making groups where someone cares about and supports your spiritual growth.

  • We use the bible to inform our discussion.

  • We share our lives, and care for each other.

  • We support each other in our next steps on Hillcrest’s discipleship pathway.

  • We pray together and for one another.

  • We pursue maturity in Christ by making disciples who make disciples.

  • We identify upcoming leaders from within the group and give them opportunities to lead, so that we can multiply groups.

  • Group leaders are empowered by and accountable to Hillcrest.
