We believe prayer is an essential element to our growth as a church and as individuals and we desire to be a place where hearing and obeying God's voice is normal for everyone. Transformation comes as we grow in dependent partnership and intimate participation with God in prayer and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Whether you are starting your prayer journey or have been praying for years, all of us are at the same place of reliance on God to grow in our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. As we depend on Him and walk in His Spirit, He will teach us how to pray and cause us to grow in our prayer life.
We have many avenues of prayer for your personal growth as well as opportunities for those wishing to serve. Here is a brief description of these opportunities:
CARE & PRAYER PASTOR
Prayer Summits are a time the entire church gathers together for corporate prayer and worship which is open to everyone. We gather to listen to God, pray for one another, and intercede for our church, community, and country.
Every Sunday there is pre-service prayer at 9:30 a.m. in the Prayer Room for those who want to prepare their hearts before the service and pray for the service itself. Contact Laura Blackman here for more details.
Every Sunday at the end of the service, volunteer prayer teams pray for people impacted by the message, going through a personal struggle, or those who would like prayer for a family member or specific need.
Men's monday morning prayer meeting starts at 6:30 a.m. Men of all ages meet together weekly for prayer and breakfast at the Prairie Oasis Restaurant. Contact Duncan Blackman here for more details.
Confidential prayer requests are emailed and prayed for weekly by a team of people who believe God answers prayer. If you are a regular attender at Hillcrest and would like to join this team, contact Laura Blackman here.
